Clean air and clean water: This is the most important legacy we can leave our children and grandchildren. We need to protect our environment, especially here in North Carolina, where the purity of the mountain streams and the beaches of our coast are not only beautiful, but an important part of our local economy. We should apply sound science and common sense to achieve these goals.
