Issues & Legislation
Issue - Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs

As a member of the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs, I am able to focus on many issues important to North Carolina. I am working to ensure that North Carolina consumers are protected and additional high-paying financial services jobs are created in our state, one of the nation’s largest financial centers.

Being on the Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee also gives me the opportunity to work on efforts to strengthen our communities through redevelopment and home ownership initiatives and other programs of the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Also, the committee authorizes all federal mass transportation programs. As our state continues to grow, investment in the infrastructure to provide faster and more efficient travel becomes increasingly important to bringing jobs.
