Sen. Sessions Comments of the Economic Stimulus Package

WASHINGTON – U.S. Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) made the following comments today regarding the economic stimulus package under consideration in the Senate:

“The Senate is considering an economic stimulus package this week. I will not support a stimulus that unfairly excludes our nation’s senior citizens and retired military personnel while providing benefits for illegal aliens. These errors in the current proposal are non-starters. I have expressed my deep concern regarding the current form of the legislation, and I am working with Republicans and Senate leadership to fix the omissions. I fully expect the bill will be corrected before a final vote.”
