Senator Lautenberg joins with Rep. Bill Pascrell (D-NJ-08; right) and Passaic County Prosecutor James Avigliano to announce $267,900 in federal funding to help Passaic County create a state-of-the-art fiber optic emergency communications network. It will allow the Prosecutor's office, the Sheriff's Department and all local Passaic police departments communicate without interruption in times of emergency. Networks like this one were one of the 9/11 Commission’s significant recommendations. (March 27, 2008)
