WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Bill Sali released the following statement on the Emergency Supplemental Appropriations Bill

“Our troops deserve funding and I am proud to support the clean funding amendment without restrictions on our Commander-in-Chief,” said Sali.

 “Today we stand by our veterans who have served our country and their families by updating the Montgomery GI Bill. We are in debt to those who serve honorably.”

 Sali also plans to support legislation to be introduced by U.S. Rep. Jeb Hensarling (R-TX) which would both increase the GI benefit and fully offset its cost.
