Corker’s Staff Donates Gifts to Hospitalized Soldiers at Ft. Campbell

December 23, 2008
12.22.08 - Paul Goode, Middle Tennessee field director for U.S. Senator Bob Corker, delivers holiday gift items collected by members of Sen. Corker’s staff for hospitalized soldiers at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital at Fort Campbell.

CHATTANOOGA - For the second year in a row, U.S. Senator Bob Corker’s office gathered items for soldiers recovering from disease and injury at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital at Fort Campbell. The holiday drive was the brain-child and is spearheaded by Stacie Oliver, Sen. Corker’s military and foreign affairs aide who is also a military spouse.

“Despite our challenges, we still live in the greatest country in the world and have much to be thankful for this holiday season. The freedoms we enjoy come at significant price paid by members of our armed forces and their families who bravely put national interest above their own. In one small effort to recognize our troops, our staff has again this year gathered care items for soldiers who are recovering from disease and injury at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital at Fort Campbell.” Corker said. “With this gesture, we hope these service members will recognize our appreciation for their sacrifices, both at Christmas and on each day of the coming year.”

Yesterday Sen. Corker’s Middle Tennessee field director, Paul Goode, delivered the care items to Blanchfield.
