Congressman David Davis Homeland Security Grants to area fire stations

Washington, DC -- Congressman David Davis announced today a U.S. Department of Homeland Security Assistance to Firefighters Grant to four fire departments in the First District.

• Limestone Cove Fire Department will receive $104,668 designated for Operations and Safety.

• Fall Branch Volunteer Fire Department will receive $112,587 designated for Operations and Safety.

• Warriors Path Volunteer Fire Department will receive $34,387 designated for Operations and Safety.

• Goshen Valley Fire Department will receive $65,657 designated for Operations and Safety.

“I appreciate the hard work and sacrifice of those men and women who work tirelessly for their community,” Congressman David Davis said. “We appreciate their sacrifice and perseverance. I am thankful for their daily commitment to the protection of our community.”


The purpose of the AFG program is to award grants directly to fire departments and nonaffiliated emergency medical service (EMS) organizations. These awards aim to enhance our first responder’s ability to protect the health and safety of the public as well as that of first responder personnel, with respect to fire-related hazards.
