Faith & Family The family has been the cornerstone of America since the nation’s inception, and is the strongest and most important institution in our country. I support measures to encourage and strengthen the institution of marriage as a covenant between one man and one woman. I believe that life is a gift from God, and begins at conception. At the point of conception, that life must be fully protected. I am a member of the Pro Life Caucus, which works to protect unborn life and ensure that taxpayer dollars are never spent destroying life. In addition to strengthening marriage and protecting the sanctity of life, I believe that our nation must respect the religious freedoms and practices of all Americans. In order for our nation to continue on its path of prosperity, leadership, and generosity, we must enhance the role of religion, as well as family, civic, and charitable institutions. As we do so, we must simultaneously reduce the role of government, so that all of these components might function equally. Related Documents:
