Saxton Departs Congress, Announces Est. $40M for Hospitals in '09; Funding continues thru 2011; $256M for S. Jersey hospitals since '05 - MOUNT HOLLY, N.J. - In his final planned press release as a United States Congressman, Rep. Jim Saxton (NJ-03rd) today announced that efforts with the U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services (HHS) to extend a Medicare reimbursement rule will bring $40 million dollars to South Jersey’s hospitals in 2009, plus undetermined additional federal funding in 2010 and 2011.

Lanoka Harbor Fire Company Lands $80,000 FEMA Equipment Grant - MOUNT HOLLY, N.J. - Congressman Jim Saxton (NJ-3rd) announced today that a federal grant in the amount of $80,723 has been awarded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to a local fire company in Ocean County.

Nat'l Guard Assn. Honors Jim Saxton's Work for the Troops & Vets; Saxton one of few in House to represent Army, Navy, Air Force bases - WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressman Jim Saxton was recognized for a career of serving the "citizen soldier" by the National Guard Association of the United States (NGAUS). He was presented the award by the group's president, Brig. Gen. Stephen Koper (ret.)Wednesday night as federal lawmakers and National Guard Bureau leaders joined the NGAUS on Capitol Hill for a cake-cutting ceremony to commemorate the Guard’s 372nd birthday.
