ENSIGN CONGRATULATES FBI ACADEMY GRADS

Washington, D.C. – Senator John Ensign today sends congratulations to two of Nevada’s finest policemen.  Lieutenant Rich Genseal of the Elko, Nevada Police Department and Joseph Sanford, Undersheriff of the Lyon County Sheriff’s Department in Yerington will graduate on Friday, December 12, 2008, from the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia.

“It is with great pride that I join the state of Nevada in congratulating both Lt. Genseal and Undersheriff Sanford on their tremendous achievement,” said Ensign.  “Attending the FBI Academy is a prestigious honor and our state will greatly benefit from the knowledge they have gained during these 12 weeks.”

The academy consists of 12 weeks of physical and academic training.  The focus remains on leadership development and the strengthening of critical thinking skills.  This session was attended by approximately 250 students from around the country and 26 international students.  Since its establishment in 1935, the academy has been attended by over 37,000 law enforcement officers.
