Statement of Senator Dodd on Energy Department's Decision on Cross-Sound Cable

“Connecticut may be small but our rights and interests are just as large and as important as our neighbors. That’s why this decision needs to be looked at very carefully and very thoroughly. The Secretary of Energy should – and must – justify the need for this decision and ensure that it is in Connecticut’s and our nation’s best interests. This is not a insignificant decision and it carries with it broad implications. Our state deserves to be an equal partner and clearly at first glance this decision does not reflect that.”
