Post Office Box 372
Greenwich, Connecticut 06830

Dear Greenwich Firefighters:

I wanted to take a moment to commend and thank you for your bravery and valor in helping the City of New York recover from the vicious terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. As the first firefighters from Connecticut to arrive at 'ground zero', your efforts undoubtedly helped the City of New York recover from this devastating and cowardly attack and have made the State of Connecticut and the nation proud.

I am confident that we as a nation and a people will meet the challenge of defeating the scourge of terrorism, and your efforts serve as a beacon of hope for all Americans. Your 'Bike For Heroes' represents your continued efforts to answer the call to duty by helping raise funds for the New York Firefighter's families as they try and cope with their loss of loved ones.

Again, I commend you for your noble efforts to assist in New York's recovery efforts, and for making the pilgrimage to the Pentagon to lend your support.

Sincerely,

CHRISTOPHER J. DODD
United States Senator
