| During this holiday season, and economic crisis,
many Vermonters face the difficult choice of buying food for their
families or paying the rent or mortgage. Senator Patrick Leahy has
long fought hunger in Vermont and promoted child nutrition programs.
Leahy and his staff made personal contributions to the Vermont Foodbank

Designate Eric Holder on Monday December 8, 2008 in his Washington
office. Leahy said he supports Holder's nomination and he intends to
hold nomination hearings before the Senate Judiciary Committee in early
