Sen. Hutchison Praises Wireless Industry for Efforts to Combat Child Pornography

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-Texas), Ranking Member of the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee, today praised the wireless industry for its work to partner with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children to combat child pornography.  The efforts are specifically directed at keeping wireless devices free from child pornography and prohibiting websites that contain child pornography from being hosted on its servers.

“I commend the wireless industry and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children for their newly formed partnership to keep wireless devices free of child pornography,” said Senator Hutchison.  “Wireless devices have become an important tool for many Americans and it is critical that this new partnership takes an aggressive approach to stop the spread of child pornography on wireless systems.”
