Boston – United States Senator John Kerry of Massachusetts and New Hampshire Governor Jeanne Shaheen will host a one day summit on the New Economy and its implications for New England in Boston on Saturday, April 1st, at the Fairmont Copley Plaza.

The conference, entitled, "Massachusetts and New Hampshire: How to Win in the New Economy," is sponsored by the Democratic Leadership Council (DLC), and cosponsored by Cerulean Technology Inc.

Massachusetts and New Hampshire were ranked in the top ten in a recent landmark report by the Progressive Policy Institute, which evaluated the nation's transition to the New Economy. Participants will highlight the two states' growing and pivotal roles in the New Economy and explore ways in which the public and private sector can jointly shape a policy framework which promotes continued economic growth for all.

EVENT SPECIFICS: Senator John F. Kerry will moderate the opening discussion on the "Challenge of Change." He will be joined by David Wetherell, CEO of CMGI; Rob Atkinson, Director of the Technology and New Economy Project at the Progressive Policy Institute; and John Keane, CEO of Keane, Inc.
