Inauguration of President-Elect Barack Obama
Thank you for your interest in the Presidential Inauguration Ceremony on January 20, 2009. Over the past month, our office has received numerous requests from Rhode Islanders for tickets to the ceremony. Unfortunately, since these requests far outnumber the number of tickets we have been given to distribute, we are no longer adding names to our waiting list.
If you have already requested tickets from our office, you will be contacted shortly regarding the status of your request.
While the Inauguration ceremony is under the auspices of the Congress, Inaugural balls, galas and the Inaugural Day parade are the responsibility of the President-Elect. Members of Congress are not able to assist with tickets to these events. The Presidential Inaugural Committee will soon be providing information about how to participate in these events at http://www.change.gov/learn/inauguration/.
