U. S. Senator Thad Cochran (R-MS) will attend events in Mississippi this week on Wednesday, January 16, and Thursday, January 17.

On Wednesday, January 16, at 10:00 a.m. (Central), Senator Cochran will join the Mid-South Housing Foundation, Fannie Mae, local housing leaders, and new residents to celebrate the grand opening of Grove Apartments located on the southeast corner of Reynolds Street and Gene Street in Pontotoc. Mid-South Housing Foundation and Fannie Mae partnered with the Mississippi Home Corporation, the Mississippi Development Authority, the City of Pontotoc, First Tennessee Bank, and the Richman Group to develop this new affordable housing for the Pontotoc community.

Also on the 16th, Senator Cochran will be the featured speaker at the annual meeting of the Mississippi Association of Conservation Districts at 7:00 p.m. (Central) at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Jackson.

The Senator will be the featured speaker at the Mississippi Job Corps' Community Day Luncheon on Thursday, January 17, at 12:00 noon (Central). The event will take place at the Mississippi Job Corps facilities in Crystal Springs.
