On July 14, 2005, the Subcommittee held a hearing that examined coordination efforts within the National Capital Region (NCR) in response to a terrorist attack or natural disaster. This second hearing will give the officials from the governments of the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia, as well as the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the opportunity to update the Subcommittee on their efforts to improve and refine coordination efforts. Additionally, this hearing will allow for the examination of the NCR strategic plan and implementation.
