Inauguration Information


Barack Obama will be sworn-in as the 44th President of the United States January 20, 2009, on the steps of the United States Capitol.

The Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies is responsible for all inaugural events at the U.S. Capitol, including the Oaths of Office for the President and Vice-President.

Though my office has already received thousands of requests, only a limited number of tickets to the swearing-in ceremony will be provided to us. I will update this website with information as it is received regarding inaugural festivities, including the official swearing-in, the parade, and related events and galas.
