Aloe rauhii
Aloe rauhii Aloe rauhii is a rare succulent plant native to the semi-desert region of southwestern Madagascar. Madagascar, the world’s fourth largest island, is recognized as one of the world’s most important and threatened centers of biodiversity. Because plant species in Madagascar have evolved in relative isolation since the island’s separation from the African continent over 160 million years ago, the flora of this country is among the most unique and fascinating in the world. Like 80 percent of the approximately 12,000 plant species occurring in Madagascar, Aloe rauhii is endemic, meaning that it occurs nowhere else in the world.
