What's Happening
Creative Flower Photography
Joshua Taylor, Jr., Photographer and Instructor

This four-session workshop is designed for photographers who want to use creativity in capturing striking images of flowers. The class will emphasize creativity through composition, the use of light and background control, photographing with props, close-up photography, and photo enhancement software. Class time will include instruction, instructor critiques, personal attention, and shooting time in the Garden Court, World Desert, and Jungle. At the last class, participants who are taking this class for credit will be asked to submit to the instructor a portfolio of images for a personal critique.

Please Note:

• Participants should have working knowledge of their camera, so time in the Conservatory can be spent on getting the most from the photographic opportunity rather than learning camera operation

• Some activities are NOT applicable to point–n–shoot cameras

• Tripods are optional but highly recommended

• Bring ALL photographic equipment to all sessions, including the first session
