Each year I am privileged to have the opportunity to nominate outstanding young Virginians to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Air Force Academy and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. My deadline for receiving completed applications and all requested information for my nominations for the classes entering in 2009 was October 31, 2008.
CONTACTING THE U.S. SERVICE ACADEMIES
Located below are links to the U.S. Service Academies. In order to be appointed to one of these highly competitive institutions, candidates must be academically, physically, and medically qualified. If you are interested in applying, you must contact each Academy to which you seek admission and initiate a pre-candidate file.
* Please note that the U.S. Coast Guard Academy does not require candidates to obtain Congressional nominations.
