@scalenine Only the editable portion needs to hit the drawing API, everything else can be baked into SWF. |
@scalenine Juan that is exactly the difference. You can have both. FXG Graphics would be greatly enhanced if they were partially compiled. |
@visualrinse Both FXG and Degrafa are runtime rendered using the Drawing API. SWF vector graphics are different, light & fast. |
@bwills The paradigms are almost inverse. Moving to an event/component paradigm vs frames is a hard jump. |
Verdict is still out on runtime Drawing API dependent graphics (Degrafa & FXG). Drawing API isn't the same as SWF Vector bytes. |
@bwills You shouldn't have to give up the timeline at all. Mixing Flash and Flex can a very pretty strong combo. |

@savvasmalamas Paradise was Flash 5, It was a perfect release. Protype based AS1 rocked, it made the Actions Panel look so crude. |

Only problem with Flash is: If you didn't evolve with the product, learning it is hard. Big legacy knowledge required. |

FYI... I am creating assets for an AS3 Project using Flash CS4. The SWF assets are loaded at runtime in the game. |

@savvasmalamas I love Flash, it is so underrated. Flex makes things easy, but real Flash is an art. |
Thinking about the differences in Flash and Flex. In Flash, graphics come first then code. With Flex code comes first then graphics. |
Back in Flash CS4! First time I used Trace Bitmap in Flash in 5 years+. I forgot how great the feature is. |
