@attilacsordas ...but python is less verbose, which is nice too. Cocoa is beautifully designed, but there are many more libs on python.
@attilacsordas I love both. They are both very dynamic and simple, but powerful. I prefer objc message syntax, because it self documents...
Home with my son, for the second day. We both have a nasty flu.
@markbate It probably won't win me any friends to say it, but I find the perl heritage of ruby to be a complication. I like py's 'one way'
@markbate Python probably has longer tradition in sci, so more library support. Also, in my view, it can do the same stuff simpler. cont...
@annemccue Less, I think. I believe we met up just before I left for A'dam in '97. Still a long time.
@mattgemmell You are pissed off about something are you Matt? It's just that your the only face looking at me from twitterrific ;-)
Weighing up whether to make python 3.0 our standard for scientific scripting going forward.
@drewmccormack The weird thing is that many people hate having 'lite' in the name. http://www.macflashcards.co...
@mekentosj The app store reviews are pretty split between good/bad. Most people don't complain about the price, per se. They want it free.
@mdhughes Yeah. What are they thinking with review-on-delete? It automatically biases the reviews to those that are not satisfied. Dumb.
@mdhughes Good summary. I just have to get used to the mentality of these people, and not let it bother me so much.
Or maybe it is just the low price point of apps on the iPhone. Mac is not a problem, because more expensive apps filter out the idiots.
Started to experience the iPhone psycho user phenomenon. My guess: 99% are windows users. I never had this issue developing for the Mac.
When I started developing Mental Case, I never thought it would be an apt description for any of its users.
Anyone out there that would like a promo code for mental case 2.0, just drop me a line.
@mekentosj People have told me they got that the app got listed in the updates, so I assume that is not a problem.
@mekentosj No, I don't think so. I kept the identifier (eg com.maccoremac.mentalcase) the same, of course. I assume that is used to id it.
Getting some angry notes about upgrading people to 'Mental Case Lite'. Perception is everything. "Same product, different name" doesn't wash
@cparnot Thanks Charles! Good idea to use a different login name too ;-)
