@cornetchap In the end I bought a Linksys WAG160N. The G coverage seems very good (much better than WRT54G). No idea what pre-N is like.
Hyper-v pushed aside to look at grub tftp problems (6753406).
Trying hard to understand dnet behaviour under Hyper-V.
