I just joined the Twitter Group http://twittgroups.com/grou... and you can too. Please Retweet.
@ndaniel I have a good friend in Fayetteville.
@KarenRussell You're right! I am even more multi in my tasking than I realized.
Current multitasking menu: making chili, gathering data, writing a book review, answering student emails.
(oops, hit enter too quickly on that last tweet)
Today I am multi-tasking:writing a final exam, planning next semester's syllabus, developing a "full-immersion SM workshop for PR
@ArizonaBrian I saw that, and was glad you pointed out that PR isn't "beginning" anything: the profession is older than the degree.
@WinterBauval Yes, it was very apt. We actually had some interesting class discussions as a result, so it was good.
@ndaniel Threading is certainly better than non-threading, but a blog is, IMO, not the best format for encouraging peer-to-peer discussion.
One of my students made a post to the class blog that has raised some controversy. Should make for a productive class. http://is.gd/admt
@prprof_mv Actually, I thought you sounded very articulate and professional. A little intimidating, even (at least pre-giggle). Not twelve.
@prprof_mv I knew it would be thought-provoking and, most of all, reflective of online reality. I needed an antidote to all the junk lately.
Re: @chrisbrogan's idea (http://is.gd/a9wG): the problem is, it tries to separate content from source. That doesn't work in any social nwk.
I'm enjoying how change.gov encourages meta-discussion about format. I agree that threaded blog comments are inefficient. http://is.gd/aanN
@jdavidallen Thanks! I love being on someone's to-read list.
@KarenRussell 17! My 7 teams are presenting next week, and that already feels like a lot. You deserve a vacation after nearly 3 x as many!
@jdavidallen Interesting! Don't know that one. My book is about crisis & complexity, so same general area. It has a fractal on the cover.
@jdavidallen That's certainly one aspect. I would say they are also related by nonlinearity: A+B sometimes = 42. Unpredictable but logical.
I love my dizzifying research. Social media, complexity, crisis, issues, narrative, authenticity, reputation. Somehow, they're all related.
@prprof_mv My students are often skeptical until I walk them through a few different settings/cases. PR pros must get it, or fail miserably.
