Staff meeting today -- love it when my team gets together & reviews my progress.
Be safe in the chamber, @LRO_NASA ! :)
is just relaxing this weekend, it will soon get super busy, as my nominal launch date is in 5 months 2 days from today
Today, my Ops team has one of their ERTs (Engineering Readiness Test). It's great to see the team operating together, even if just a test.
today, I got visited by NOVA scienceNOW, down in cosy cleanrooms at NGST in LA; tomorrow, NOVA scienceNOW comes to visit my NASA ARC team
congrats @Chandrayaan1! from us here too!
sweeeeeeeeeeet! @chandrayaan1 enjoy the trip! @lro_nasa & i are awaiting our turn next year
things are pretty good for us @LRO_NASA, just tying up a few loose ends since our spacecraft SAR, and practising our mission ops simulations
@LRO_NASA, most excellent, congrats on the completion of the TVAC test! Big milestone.
Today, my operations team is prepping for an exercise called "Quicklook" to simulate what happens when the LCROSS payload is first turned on
sitting pretty down at NGST, but some of my team is up at ARC working FSW tests & Ops scenarios, as we wait for our time to fly to the moon!
thanks, @Chandrayaan1 ! All the best to you, too! See you at the Moon soon! :)
Congratulations to @chandrayaan1 for a successful launch to the Moon!
Astronomers have been making practice runs - observing the Moon from Hawaii just as they will during my lunar impacts!
@cosmos4u - current estimates are for launch in spring 2009, lunar impacts sometime btw Aug-Oct 2009.
A model of me is on display this week at the Northrop Grumman booth at the Division of Planetary Sciences at Cornell University!
is loving my cool NASA website at http://tinyurl.com/5676gm
If you're in San Francisco tonite stop by the Ask-A-Scientist talk @ Axis Cafe - discussing the Moon and LCROSS! http://askascientistsf.com/
