@ricetopher it is part of their normal grade. Every student has a role, a few of which are leadership (aka "TA") roles.
@kmakice they work in groups of 12, each person with an assigned task. 1 assigned task is "chief integrator" which is basically a TA role
@ricetopher, I often have 200+ students and no TAs. Just assign the "TA tasks" to students and they will step up (and learn more too).
