Hayek talking inflation on Meet the Press in 1975 - this interview sounds like it might have taken place in 2008. http://bit.ly/MbKP
Today is one of those days where the overcast skies put me in a better mood.
Fox News is the best channel to watch the results, if only to watch those bastards squirm.
@dalmaer The Hamiltonian faction wanted to keep power with the elite. The Jeffersonians fought for individual liberty. They compromised.
@dalmaer The founding fathers had to compromise their values, and they screwed it up. The electoral college is even worse than democracy.
Benjamin Franklin stated "Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for dinner."
@dalmaer We would have gone to Afghanistan, which is just as futile as Iraq. Just ask the Soviets.
@dalmaer Just looking at history books. The US has barely taken a year or two off in between wars since its inception. Both parties love war
@dalmaer Had Gore won we'd still have gone to war with someone after 9/11 and we'd still be there today in futile pursuit of terrorists
Wow, really lost my will to avoid political tweets/blogs in the last 24 hours. Time to put the cat back in the bag.
@webdesignfanboy Why do you need a 51% majority in order to have hope?
@savetheclocktower Laws and violence are tools of the impatient.
@savetheclocktower It takes time. You don't go Thoreau. You change what you can, teach your kids right, and wait a few generations.
@savetheclocktower It matters not what you tell "them", it matters that you re-arrange your life to stop depending on them. That is change.
Not voting does bring change. It tells Washington we're going to fix this world without them. It will be harder that way but more lasting.
@archivist08 I sympathize. I will show my solidarity by not getting a license from the marriage cartel when I "marry" my bride.
I think you'll find that change is much more satisfying when you build it yourself than when you get it via a mandate from Washington.
Not voting is not giving up. It means taking a long term view and working to change things without government intervention.
Still not voting. I reject the idea that evil things like prop 4 and prop 8 could even come to ballot. Democracy is a bitch.
Every day that goes by without TextMate 2.0 is a day closer to finding another editor. Sad.
