Overview

The Country Data section includes numerous resources that provide individual country and regional data, country profiles, economic and financial statistics information, and other useful information such as country and regional news, and important information covering country political and economic policies and conditions. This section utilizes a number of different resources drawing from government, news media, academic, non-government institutional, and commercial sources.

The Country Studies Series presents a description and analysis of the historical setting and the social, economic, political, and national security systems and institutions of countries throughout the world. The U.S. Department of State's Countries and Regions, and Country Commercial Guides serve as key information sources on country and regional reports, economic policy and trade practices. The Country Commercial Guides contain information on the business and economic situation of foreign countries and the political climate as it affects U.S. business. The Country Commercial Guides also include topics such as marketing, trade regulations, investment climate, and business travel.
