@PeterVk The coffee is indeed exceptional, especially when there is not a single Starbucks to choke the local market.
Not quite sure how I should feel having a coffee in the Army Museum next to fragments of a crashed US warplane: http://is.gd/aH8I
On the flight they showed Babylon AD and Mummy 3. Both had Michelle Yeoh. She must be the Hollywood', current token Asian.
Simpsons (M)Apple spoof on YouTube: http://is.gd/a0e0 http://is.gd/aAWc
I negotiated my taxi fare from the airport down from 270,000 VND (US$ 16) to 250,000. Quite proud of myself.
After an all too brief weekend in Korea, I'm back in Hanoi. A good thing I fit 3 servings of 김치찌게 in that time - I gonna be needin' it all....
Energy low. Morale low. I'm sure there'll be better days, but boy does today suck. Still have a ton of work - It's time to procrastinate.
Where are my army boots? Need to go into battle

Dopplr is interesting but where is the market for social networking travel info? I use it anyway cus the site looks cool http://is.gd/a2Pi
Let me know if anyone wants a corporate rate at the Hanoi Intercontinental http://is.gd/a2O2 We just renewed and got a pretty sweet deal.

Had a $1.20 local lunch. Thankfully my staff had a jar of Kimchi in the fridge. Kimchi can smother the taste of any local concoction.
Hilary as US Secretary of State: Hoping US doesn't insist on "exporting" its brand of democracy/free market without regional sensitivity.
To all those with iTunes accounts and watched "Inconvenient Truth": buy and watch PBS's E2 series. They are very good.
@cwolz That must have helped. I got my passport back with a visa good for 6-month in VIetnam.
Where is ubiquitous internet access when you need it?
Vietnamese ramen is no good. Give me Snack-myun any day.
Wondering if its safe to drink milk in Vietnam.
