Summary

Pursuant to a legislative requirement, GAO reviewed the Federal Communications Commission's (FCC) new rule on flexible service offerings in commercial mobile radio services (CMRS). GAO found that: (1) the rule would allow providers of narrowband and broadband CMRS services to offer fixed wireless services on their assigned spectrum on a co-primary basis with mobile services; and (2) FCC followed applicable requirements in promulgating the rule.
