Summary

This annual report is part of a four-volume set summarizing the findings and open recommendations resulting from GAO audits and other review work in federal agencies for which satisfactory legislative or administrative actions have not yet been completed. To encourage prompt, responsive actions on its recommendations, GAO follows up on them. This report contains information on 2,522 GAO recommendations that were open as of September 30, 1992. The report is available in a four-volume set totaling more than 1,000 pages or on computer disk. Either format can be obtained by using the order form in the back of this publication.
