(November 11, 2004) Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard thanks Commerce veteran Ralph "Sugar Bear" Sarabia for his honorable service to our country. A member of the American Legion Post #320, Mr. Sarabia is a highly-decorated combat veteran who has received numerous commendations for his service during the Vietnam War, including five Purple Hearts. This year's Veterans Day ceremony in Commerce included a processional march, the raising of the flag, presentation tributes to all branches of the armed forces, a musical concert and luncheon.
