Washington, D.C. - Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard (CA-34) met with Kay Buck (on right) who is the Executive Director of the Los Angeles-based Coalition to Abolish Slavery & Trafficking (CAST). They met in the congresswoman's Washington, D.C. office on Wednesday, May 19 to discuss needed changes to the Trafficking Victims Protection Act of 2000 to better serve survivors of trafficking. They also discussed the organization's successful effort to open the first shelter for trafficking victims in the country in Los Angeles. |
