(December 15, 2006) Downtown, Los Angeles - Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard dropped by to visit the children of the Hope Street Family Center's Early Childhood Center during their holiday program in the Pico-Union area west of downtown Los Angeles. The Hope Street Family Center -- one component of California Hospital Medical Center's Community Programs -- is a collaborative venture between the center and the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). The center operates its Early Childhood Center, which is a licensed, center-based child care facility located at Angelica Evangelical Lutheran Church in Pico-Union. The center accommodates eight infants, 24 toddlers, and 24 pre-school aged children, Monday through Friday, from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Pictured in the first photo (left to right): Cliff Hoffman, President, California Hospital Medical Center Foundation; Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard; and Vickie Kropenske, PHN, MSN, Executive Director of Hope Street Family Center.
