(November 20, 2006) Boyle Heights - Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard presented a Certificate of Congressional Recognition to Francisco Bravo Medical Magnet High School for being named a Blue Ribbon high school by the U.S. Department of Education. Awarded to recognize academic excellence and substantial improvement in student performance, Bravo high school is the first school in the Los Angeles Unified School District in 10 years to receive the blue ribbon distinction and one of only 32 in the state this year.
