(October 28, 2006) City of Commerce - Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard presents City of Commerce Mayor Nancy Ramos (shown in the first photo on right) with a congressional certificate of recognition in honor of the city's efforts to organize this year's Commerce Family Wellness "Health, Wellness and Resource Fair." More than 30 agencies participated in the fair, including the Alzheimer's Association, American Cancer Society, Citizens Choice Health Plan, Los Angeles County Dept. of Public Health Whittier Health Center SPA 7, LA County Sheriff's Dept., Montebello Unified School District and the South Coast AQMD. The fair also featured the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America's Breathmobile, an asthma clinic on wheels; AltaMed Health Services' mobile screening unit; facts on Breast Cancer Awareness; and information for seniors, students, and families on diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure and other chronic conditions.
