(August 25, 2006) Monterey Park, CA - Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard joined representatives from the Chinatown Senior Citizen Service Center to commemorate the organization's 30th anniversary. For more than 30 years, the center has provided services to help non-English speaking senior citizens in Los Angeles. The congresswoman thanked the center's board members, staff and volunteers, past and present, for their commitment and dedication to serving seniors at the center and at Cathay Manor, a 350-person senior housing complex in Chinatown. Pictured above from left to right, the congresswoman presented certificates of recognition to: Don Toy, the center's board chairman; George Poon, the center's executive director; and Van Hieu, the center's vice president.
