(August 2, 2006) East Los Angeles, CA - Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard (CA-34) hands out her constituent service brochures to seniors at the Salazar Park Senior Center on East Whittier Boulevard and urges them to meet with one of her caseworkers who are at the center on the first Thursday of each month from 8:30 to noon. The congresswoman's caseworkers are available to assist residents of the 34th District in resolving problems with federal agencies. In addition to the outreach hours, the congresswoman's caseworkers are available to provide assistance by calling (213) 628-9230. The congresswoman also reminded the seniors that open enrollment for Medicare's new prescription drug plan begins November 15 for coverage starting in 2007. This is also an opportunity for Medicare beneficiaries who enrolled in 2006 to switch plans if they wish.
