(November 21, 2005) Boyle Heights - Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard (CA-34) receives a tour of the Variety Boys and Girls Club guided by its Executive Director Judy Zdravje, Robby Aguila, the club's Director of Administration, and Rick Hernandez, the club's Director of Youth Development (not pictured). The club's staff updated the congresswoman about its plans for a new facility. The congresswoman recently secured $200,000 in federal funds toward the project. Construction of the club's new facility is schedule to begin in 2007. The Club offers an array of services to youth in Boyle Heights, including computer classes, college scholarship programs, recreation programs and a summer lunch program.
