(August 2, 2005) - Downtown, Los Angeles - Following last month's terrorist attacks in London, Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard (CA-34) met with Los Angeles-area transit agency representatives from Amtrak, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), Metrolink, the Municipal Transit Operators Coalition, and Union Station. During the meeting that took place at the MTA's downtown headquarters at One Gateway Plaza, Congresswoman Roybal-Allard listened to the representatives discuss their agency's current security procedures and federal funding needs. Congresswoman Roybal-Allard is a member of the Appropriations Homeland Security Subcommittee in the U.S. House of Representatives.
