(May 11, 2005) Washington, D.C. - Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard meets with Mr. Peter Lake, President and CEO of the Commerce-based non-profit organization, ByDesign Financial Solutions, and Ms. Colleen Sloan (pictured far left), the organization's board chairwoman. During the meeting, they discussed their efforts to assist families in Los Angeles, and through regional offices in Sacramento, Stockton and Fresno, in need of assistance with credit counseling, debt repayment, housing counseling and identity theft resolution. They also expressed their support for legislative efforts aimed at cracking down on fraudulent credit counseling organizations.
