(April 13, 2005) Washington, D.C. - Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard meets with Mr. Arthur Dean, the chairman and CEO of Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America (CADCA). The organization presented the congresswoman with its 2005 Congressional Leadership Award for her sponsorship of "The STOP (Sober Truth on Preventing) Underage Drinking Act" (HR 864) and for her ongoing support of federal funding for substance-abuse programs. Made up of more than 5,000 community coalition members from across the country, CADCA coordinates anti-drug efforts to provide a comprehensive, community-wide, approach to addressing substance abuse problems.
