(March 23, 2005) Boyle Heights - Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard meets with Developer Mark Weinstein, CEO of MJW Investments, atop the Sears Building in Boyle Heights. The building is part of a development project that will combine retail and residential buildings on 23 acres surrounding the Sears site. Plans for the property considered the "gateway" to the historic community of Boyle Heights call for 772 units of mixed-use housing and six acres of open space.
