(December 2, 2007) Downtown, Los Angeles - Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard speaks at a breakfast meeting hosted by the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) at the Wilshire Grand Los Angeles hotel. During her remarks, the congresswoman praised the organization for its activism on Capitol Hill and thanked its members for supporting her successful effort to require employers to pay for personal protective equipment for their employees. Founded in 1889, the NALC is the national union of city delivery letter carriers employed by the U.S. Postal Service.
