(March 30, 2007) Downtown, Los Angeles - Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard joined more than 250 Asian American community leaders and supporters of the Center for Asian Americans United for Self Empowerment (CAUSE) at the organization’s opening reception and 14th Annual Dinner at the Omni Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. CAUSE is a nonprofit, community-based organization whose mission is to advance the political empowerment of the Asian Pacific American community through non-partisan voter registration and education, community outreach, and leadership development. Congresswoman Roybal-Allard, who is a member of CAUSE’s Honorary Advisory Council, hosted interns from CAUSE’s internship program at her downtown district office in Los Angeles.
