(March 13, 2007) Washington, D.C. – City of Bellflower officials met with Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard (CA-34) during a trip to our nation’s capital to attend the National League of Cities conference. The National League of Cities is the oldest and largest organization representing municipal governments throughout the United States. During their meeting in the congresswoman’s Washington, D.C. office, they discussed important municipal issues including Bellflower’s compliance with clean water regulations and the need for increased federal funding for the Community Development Block Grant program, which is used to fund a variety of Bellflower projects.
