SUPPORTS ROYBAL-ALLARD'S BILL TO PROTECT FARMWORKER CHILDREN

Actor Edward James Olmos will be on Capitol Hill to speak and lobby on behalf of Rep. Roybal-Allard's bill, the Children's Act for Responsible Employment (CARE) on Wednesday, April 10th at 1:30 p.m. in room 210 of the Cannon House Office Building. Members of the press are invited to arrive at 1:00 p.m. to conduct interviews before the briefing begins.

Olmos will lead a panel discussion for Congressmembers and staff on the plight of child farmworkers in America. He will be joined on the panel by Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard, advocate David Strauss, and a farmworker child, who will share the story of his experience working in the fields.
