Oregon NRCS Programs
NRCS's natural resources conservation programs help people reduce soil
erosion, enhance water supplies, improve water quality, increase wildlife
habitat, and reduce damages caused by floods and other natural disasters. Public
benefits include enhanced natural resources that help sustain agricultural
productivity and environmental quality while supporting continued economic
development, recreation, and scenic beauty.
Conservation Provisions of the 2008 Farm Bill
The conservation provisions of the Food, Conservation, and Energy Act
of 2008 (2008 Farm Bill) offer new opportunities to shape our Nation’s
landscape through the improved management of our natural resources. The
Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is currently working on
new and revised program rules based on the 2008 Farm Bill. New
information on the following Farm Bill programs and provisions has
recently been made available in the Federal Register. Click on the link
